Social Skills Groups

Following Michelle Garcia Winner's Think Social curriculum, The Swain Center offers social skills groups for school-aged children ages 4-7 and 8-14. Older school-aged children are considered on an individual basis. The groups are limited to 4-6 participants and scheduled once weekly for 90 minutes for 16 weeks. Auditory Processing Disorders - Assessment, Management and Treatment

K.K. is a 6 year 4 month old girl who was evaluated for auditory processing disorder. She has a diagnosis of autism and has both receptive and expressive language skills. Her history is significant for delayed speech and language onset and development, chronic ear infections and reactions to immunizations at 18 months of age. She under went 50 hours of Auditory Development Intervention over an 18 week period. Her progress is reported below:
